Building restoration, construction techniques and architecture of wooden structures are the main activities conducted by the Building Design group. Specific research projects are developed in the field of building design and restoration with particular emphasis passed on wooden structures. Attention is given to the role of innovative construction techniques in traditional structures such as wooden buildings, and the assessment and the research of new methodologies for the improvement of house comfort.
