This DVD contains programs and data for the FOSS4G 2007 GRASS and DBMS Workshop, Victoria, Canada, September 2007.

The workshop slides are included in the DVD but they can be also downloaded directly here.

The workshop has been organized by Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile e Ambientale and CUDAM (Centro Universitario per la Difesa Idrogeologica dell'Ambiente Montano) of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Trento.

FOSS4G 2007 GRASS and RDBMS Workshop DVD based on Kubuntu 7.04

with:

Kubuntu live with GRASS GIS 6.2.1, QGIS 0.8.1 with GRASS plugin, PostgreSQL 8.1.8, PostGIS 1.1.6 and pgAdminIII 1.4.3.
Kubuntu installer from DVD with GRASS GIS 6.2.1, QGIS 0.8.1 with GRASS plugin, PostgreSQL 8.1.8, PostGIS 1.1.6, pgAdminIII 1.4.3.

WARNING: the iso file weights about 4.0 Gb (4000 Mb!). The DVD image will be on-line as long as the used bandwidth is limited: download the ISO image only if you have no other way of obtaining the DVD.

To start with the live DVD: insert this DVD in the drive; set the BIOS to start from the DVD drive; reboot.
To install GNU/Linux and GRASS from DVD: insert this DVD in the drive; set the BIOS to start from the DVD drive; reboot; in the Linux live session, click the "Install" icon on the desktop and follow instructions.
